SOLD!!

We got to take the For Sale sign down today and take off the lock box. My amazingly, wonderful, sister, Micki was gung-ho about cleaning it today. She did a fantabulous job! After it's clean and we have appliances delivered it should be livable. We have a lot of yard work ahead of us, we've already been pulling weeds here and there, but we have a.lot. of work to do. Just the thought overwhelms me.

Putting Down Roots

It's official ... We are now HOMEOWNERS!

We closed today on our 1st home. We are so excited and can't wait to move in. We're thrilled to finally put down some roots and have a place of our own for a long time.

About a month ago Maggie asked, "Am I going to go to 1st grade at SS Elementary?" At this point we weren't sure what the future had in store for us so I felt really bad and told her I just wasn't sure. It was when she asked, "Am I going to go to 2nd grade at the same school I'm going to 1st grade?" that made me really feel like it was time to settle down somewhere. We've moved around a lot and we're grateful and excited to get to stay in our same neighborhood so full of wonderful people. We couldn't ask for better neighbors and we didn't even look at any other homes, we knew exactly what we wanted!
We've feel really blessed with the way everything has worked out.

Now, it's time to move ...

Quilt Finally Finished (and table runner to match!)

I finally finished my quilt last week and then yesterday made a table runner that matches, but I made it to give away. They both turned out really great, I am in LOVE, LOVE, LOVE with my quilt! I really want to keep sewing all day, but I have a basement in desperate need of some TLC. I have so much to do to get ready to move so I don't have a lot of time to sew although that's all I want to do right now!

Spring Dance Recital

Maggie has been looking forward to her dance recital ever since they picked their music. They danced to Miley Cyrus' The Climb. She loved her costume, and was anxious and excited for weeks. She did such a great job and is improving so much!

Last Day of School

This year just flew by! I was looking at the pictures of the kids on the 1st day of school and thought I'd post their pictures from the last day. The first day is going to come again before we know it. We have lots of fun activities planned, little trips, getting ready for a baby, and *hopefully* we'll be moving this summer (across the street), but far enough to keep us busy!

* I also had to include the picture of the gift we made that the kids took their teachers on the last day, they turned out so cute!

Maggie's Graduation Program

Maggie is now moving on to 1st Grade! I can't believe she is so grown up. She had a great time in Kindergarten and also had an amazing teacher who went above and beyond in every way and we are so grateful. She did a cute little program and we loved seeing her sing all her songs and doing the actions.

Pinewood Derby 2009

We had so much fun experiencing The Pinewood Derby for the first time. Johnny just loves scouts and soaks it all in. Everything is such a learning experience for us, this being no exception! I think there were a few lessons learned that we'll remember next year. Johnny is really into Harry Potter right now and wanted his car to reflect that, so the colors are Scarlet & Gold (Griffyndor), and it was called The Firebolt, and had lightning bolts on it. We all had a good time and Johnny was proud to see his car come in 2nd in a couple races and 1st in one.

Johnny's 2nd Grade Program

It's hard to believe the school year has come to an end. Johnny was so blessed this year to have such a wonderful teacher and great friends in his class. The whole 2nd grade put on a program and they sang songs about everything they learned throughout the year.
