This is the game the girls play with their American Girl dolls everyday. They load them up in the strollers and play "Disneyland" with them.
It seriously cracks me up, but I love that they are playing together.
This is Josie's doll. See how appropriately she's dressed in her pj's and sneakers? And a hat to block the sun? Now, if you're wondering what she's packed in her little bag, it's clear full of shoes. Let's not forget the Ariel shoes that came with the outfit we bought the AG doll at Disneyworld.
My kind of girl!
How's that for being excited about an upcoming Disneyland trip? Makes all the waiting worth it!

Happy Superbowl ... er birthday, I mean
This handsome man turned 34 on Superbowl Sunday (Feb. 6th).
We had a great party with his whole family over.
He is only getting more handsome and kind and loving the older he gets. Can't wait for many more years!

Favorite Decorations
These are a few of my favorite things.
My kids love to draw things and hang them up with tape. I don't have the heart to ever take them down!
I'm sure someday they'll be drawing mean signs directed at me ... so I try to enjoy the nice, cute things they draw now.

This ... not so cute. We've learned by many walls, doors, clothes, and floors colored on to keep crayons, markers & pencils up HIGH.

Feeling Crafty pt. 2
I've been using the ugly pillows that came with our couches for years, and I truly hate them everytime I look at them. I still haven't fixed them, but I got in the mood to make pillows and instead made some cute valentine's pillows and a couple other cute pillows. I still hate looking at my old ones, and I have plans for them--I just haven't gotten around to it!

One of my good friends is having a baby girl next week and I sewed her this quilt. I'm almost emberassed to say that I sewed it because it was so easy. So before I take any credit, it was a panel already put together, all I did was sew around the edges. I doubled the batting and it turned out perfectly puffy and I put flannel on the back side and it was super soft. I really, truly love it and wish I had thought of making it up myself!

Valentine's sneak peek
These are the Valentine's Josie is making for her friends:
This is how John finds his 12 Days of Valentine's treat each morning:
This is what happens to it after:
Little hands love to wander up there and grab at whatever goodies they can find!
But it's been so fun and I love Valentine's Day!

Josie turns 5!

This one was a hard one for me. I think because she was my baby for so long, and I didn't know if she'd be my last baby for so long that I've had an extra hard time watching her grow up.
All she asked for was a Rapunzel wig and a hula-hoop. How easy was that? She got super spoiled anyway with Barbie furniture & new accessories for her Build-a-bear she got for Christmas. But her favorite by far was ... a PILLOW PET! I just don't get those things, and all the kids love them. She carries it around and sleeps on it every night. She picked out the Unicorn.
She took a couple of her friends to lunch at McD's, took cupcakes to her class at school and when she got home we went and visited Grandma. When Daddy got home from work she wanted to go to Nickel City and we had a blast. We love that place! We took them all to Sizzler to dinner and by the time we got home it was so late she fell asleep in the car before we even had her princess cake!

Maggie gets BAPTIZED!

On January 8th, 2011, Maggie got baptized.
She looked gorgeous, she was positively glowing! We had been looking forward to this day to come for a long time.
She was the only child from our ward that month and so when we looked around the room and saw all our friends and neighbors coming to support us, it truly melted my heart. I will never forget it.
Our families were there and some came from far away to be there with Maggie that day, and it was truly wonderful.

She has been making an honest effort at being good, I can tell the difference and I love it. What a great example she is for her little sisters!

Fredette? Really?
The only good thing I see about this whole Jazz Read-a-thon isn't even the Jazz player they get at the end, it's this Boys Night Late Night Read at the school tonight. Why? Because somoene, who knows someone, who knows someone, who knows someone, etc. pulled some strings and invited this guy ...
If you don't know who this is, your husband/son must not have a mancrush like mine does. It's Jimmer Fredette, who plays for BYU.
All I can say, is that if he doesn't really come there are going to be lots of little boy broken hearts.
